Major throwback from my friend Marios - the shredder - Selipas who digitized a video from 2005, riding the majestic Kionia to Profitis Elias trail!!
No GoPros back then so to film his phatass we were using his fully custom creation: a Sanyo handheld camcorder, connected by wires hanging all over the place to a surveillance camera strapped as good as possible to our helmet!
The video features the following extinct icons of mountainbiking:
- 26inch full suspension bikes (Cannondale Jeckyl and Giant XTC NRS),
- bar ends,
- gripshifts,
- mountainbikers in lycra
- saddles to the sky (or in the groin),
- pornstar looks,
- 2-inch Michelin green Wildgreeper tyres,
- the unpaved dirtroad to Kionia
- and the Kionia to Prifitis Elias trail in immaculate condition (#peftzin)!
